Dangerous Foods in the USA

Here is a list of 10 foods considered dangerous that are sold in the United States but are banned in Europe:
Milk with growth hormone (rBGH): Milk and dairy products from animals that have been given the artificial bovine growth hormone (rBGH) are considered dangerous, as this hormone can have carcinogenic effects on the body. The synthetic version of the hormone somatropin is banned in Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Canada and the European Union.
Chicken with arsenic: Chickens can be fed feeds that have been laced with arsenic to promote rapid weight gain and make the meat look fresher and pinker. Ingestion of arsenic can produce fatal effects.
Meat with ractopamine: Meat from animals that have been given ractopamine, a steroid responsible for an acceleration of weight gain and a reduction in overall fat content, is regularly sold in the USA.
This substance has been banned in 160 countries including Europe, Russia, most of China and the Republic of China (Taiwan).
Bread with potassium bromate: Used as an additive to whiten flour and promote leavening, reducing costs, potassium bromate can cause damage to the nervous system, thyroid problems, gastrointestinal disorders and an increased risk of cancer. Its use has been banned in Canada, China and Europe.
Brominated vegetable oil (BVO): Found in some citrus-flavoured drinks or in supplements used by athletes, brominated vegetable oils were originally patented by chemical companies as flame retardants. They can cause health problems.
Olestra: Known by the trade name Olean, this is a calorie-free fat used in fat-free snacks, such as potato chips. Banned in the UK and Canada, olestra impairs the body’s ability to absorb fat-soluble vitamins such as A, D, E, K and can cause intestinal problems such as cramps and diarrhea.
Foods with preservatives BHA (butylated hydroxyanisole) and BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene): These preservatives, labeled E320 and E321, are easily found in many foods such as breakfast cereals, nut mixes, chewing gum, butter, meat and dehydrated potatoes. BHA in particular can have a potential carcinogenic effect on humans. These substances have been banned in Japan and some European countries, including Italy.
GMO Papaya: Genetically modified papaya is a dangerous food, as it may contain substances that have not been sufficiently tested for human safety.
American farmed salmon: American farmed salmon are fed feed containing chemicals, antibiotics and other drugs. Unlike wild salmon, whose diet is rich in natural carotenoids that give it a pink color, farmed salmon are given synthetic astaxine, a toxic substance based on petrochemical products that is not suitable for human consumption. This substance is banned in Australia and New Zealand.
GMO Sweet Potatoes: Genetically modified sweet potatoes have been developed to resist specific insects and diseases, but their safety for human consumption has been questioned.
These foods are considered dangerous because of the potential negative effects on human health, and many of them are banned in other countries for these reasons.
