RBReporters recommends these guidelines for MTB – Gravel trails

To respect the trails during gravel and MTB touring, it is important to follow some basic guidelines:
Respect accessible trails: Use only open and authorized trails. Respect road and trail closures and do not access private property without permission.
Leave no trace: Be sensitive to the terrain, especially in wet or muddy areas. Avoid creating new trails and stay on marked routes. Take your waste home.
Maintain control of the vehicle: Respect speed limits and recommendations. Maintain control of the bicycle at all times to avoid risks to yourself and others.
Give way: Do everything possible to be visible to other trail users, using friendly greetings or bells. Give way to all other trail users, especially when going downhill.
Do not scare animals: Approach calmly and without making sudden noises to avoid scaring animals.
Participate in trail maintenance: Actively contribute to trail maintenance by picking up litter, cutting down fallen branches, or reporting problems to local associations.
Respect the environment: Avoid harmful maneuvers such as skidding and only leave the trails if absolutely necessary. Promote environmentally friendly behavior that respects natural heritage.
By following these guidelines, you help preserve the trails and ensure a safe and enjoyable cycling experience for everyone.
