Remember that, in Portugal, viticulture is rich in native grape varieties, some of which are grown following biodynamic and natural practices. Here are some significant grape varieties:

Alvarinho: Used to produce fresh and aromatic white wines.

Trajadura: Another white wine grape variety, often used in blends.

Loureiro: Contributes to aromatic and lively white wines.

Pedernã: White grape variety that offers freshness and acidity.

In addition to these, in the Douro, the famous Port region, over 80 indigenous grape varieties are grown, each with unique characteristics.

Some examples include Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz (also known as Aragonez), Tinta Barroca and Tinta Cão. These grape varieties contribute to the production of wines of great quality and complexity. 🍇🍷
